Well – the Universal Charging Solution (UCS) is an initiative by the major European mobile phone makers in conjunction with the European Commission to market a universal charger from mid-2010.
Micro USB is the standard connector chosen to be the universal connector – already used by many laptops, cameras and MP3 players and is to become standard in all data-enabled mobile phones marketed in the next year.
The universal charger is aimed to become global around 2012.
Methinks we should buy a few for the office! :)
